KDC 099X Campfire Science (Ages 8-14)

Cost: $27

Become a forest expert and help solve a mystery on the Mogollon Rim. Kids will simulate a bio assessment of a stream, set-up collection stations and count/record micro invertebrate data. To help keep the kids energized,they will build a solar oven to melt marshmallows and chocolate on a graham cracker for a snack. To keep themselves safe, kids will develop a survival pack and learn how to pace-out a campsite. In the end, the students will learn basic investigative techniques and how to analyze data, prepare to be outdoors and how to protect themselves.

KDC 099X Computer Science Coding (Ages 6 & up) Rm 129-Cap 13

Cost:$45

Students create computer programs with loops and events and write algorithms for everyday tasks. They learn to investigate different problem-solving techniques, and learn about internet safety. By the end of this course, students create their own custom game or story.
